Financial institutions supporting the EITI reflect the growing attention that global financial markets place on increasing transparency and improving governance in the extractive sector.

Financial institutions are asked to agree to the statement of support to the EITI from financial and lending institutions. They are required to make an annual contribution to the international management of the EITI of USD 9,950. 

Financial institutions are represented on the EITI Board. The financial institution sub-constituency contact point is Ms Dyveke Rogan of Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM).
