Engagement with the EITI
Chevron operates or has a working interest in 16 EITI implementing countries. Chevron is confident that the EITI's multi-stakeholder approach, which ensures the full representation of governments, extractive industry companies and civil society, is the best approach for providing transparency in company payments and government revenues in resource-rich countries.
The company has been a member of the multi-stakeholder groups (MSG) in several countries implementing the EITI Standard such as Azerbaijan, Philippines, Republic of Congo and United States during its years of implementation of the EITI Standard.
Chevron is one of the longest continuous serving members of the international EITI Board and is currently a member of the EITI Board 2019-2021.
Chevron’s sustainability reporting focusses on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues that are important to its business and stakeholders. Chevron currently discloses data on a number of issues recommended in the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) for oil and gas exploration and production, midstream and refining and marketing standards.
