We endorse transparency in the extractive industries. We are a participating member of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, one mechanism which seeks to ensure that natural resource wealth is an engine for economic growth that contributes to sustainable development and poverty reduction.

Engagement with the EITI

ConocoPhillips is committed to the EITI principles and is involved in the EITI process and implementation in countries where the company operates. The company cooperates with governments and provides the required information for EITI Validation and reporting processes. Three EITI implementing countries where the company operates, Timor-Leste, Nigeria and Norway, have achieved satisfactory progress in implementing the EITI Standard.

Strengthening transparency
